Prior to working in private practice, Kent became familiar with the inner workings of the court system as a Trial Court Staff Attorney for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Florida. His responsibilities included researching and making recommendations to trial court judges on various criminal and civil matters, administrative reviews and county court appeals.

Kent opened Kent M. Amo, P.A. in November of 2010 to assist clients with their family and commercial civil disputes.
